Based in Meriden, CT I serve the entire state of CT in all facets of Real Estate…
Meriden, Wallingford, Cheshire, Southington, Durham and North Haven are pretty good investments at this time and each one has it’s various reasons for the values to be gained. Meriden, of all of these towns, gives you the most home for the money! Biggest Bang for the Buck! Taxes are ALL based on both the Assessment AND the mil rate so if a town has very high assessments on it’s real property with lower mil rates, it’s inevitable that the taxes will still be very high. Your personal property taxes, ie: vehicles will be a bit lower is all. Many of the towns mentioned above have the lower mil rate/higher assessment but Meriden. A similar home in Meriden may actually cost a lot less than in neighboring towns. If you are even slightly considering purchasing a home anytime in the reasonably near future, start looking now!!! Interest rates for mortgages will be dropping soon! I have been in this business for nearly 30 years and the month of June is usually a rate-drop month! Also the rates have climbed repeatedly in the past 4 weeks to set up for the upcoming drop!!! It really should be happening soon so keep an eye out or have your Realtor keep you posted! Owners are anxious to sell in most cases so MAKE YOUR DEAL NOW…and lock in your interest rate on your offer as well…again talk to your ABR/REALTOR (accredited buyer rep)who should be looking out for your interests anyway. There are many ways to write an offer and get it accepted and keep it Fair and a win-win for all! Real Estate should be FUN not stress ridden…remember that when you choose your agent! Happy House Hunting
